There are many ways to break the ice and whoever you talk to will give you different advice. The ones here are the best ones. Guaranteed.
How was your day?
I talked about this one in an earlier article. You can empathize with what she says, whether she says ‘good,’ ‘bad’ or ‘just blah.’ It shows concern on your part and allows her to vent, something ALL women love to do. Once she opens up, the ice is broken. She’ll be able to express more freely with each passing sentence as long as you keep your cool. Out of all the things you can say, this is hands down the best way to break the ice.
You seem like someone I’d like to get to know
This works because it’s a compliment and it’s straight to the point. If she asks “why?” you can go ahead and compliment her some more by saying “you look intriguing” or “I can tell you’re intelligent, not just a pretty face.” This is the second best way to break the ice.
Your smile lights up the room
Women love to be complimented on their smiles. However, only use this one if she truly has a nice smile, otherwise it won’t be genuine.
You look like you’re having fun
I also talked about this one in a previous article. A lot of people use the line, “you look bored’ which is actually a bad approach to take. This statement is more uplifting and upbeat. You can follow this one up with, “what’s your story?”
You look familiar
Contrary to what most people think, this one actually works pretty well. Most people are flattered when they are recognized. If the woman is a model or actress it’s even better because they aim to be recognized! You can ask her if you look familiar to her and if she says no then just say, “You look like a girl I went to school with” and just move on with the conversation.
Remain positive and keep a cool composure. It’s the best way to break the ice. Use these statements but be sure to smile genuinely.
